The world as a whole (read this first)

The world present in the Plotline may seem a bit confusing at first. However, it's made up of a number of fairly simple areas. Click the links (when added) to read more about the areas.

To the far west is the "ruins" area.
To the far north is the "mechanical" area.
To the far east is the "village" area.
To the far south is the "caves" area.
To the southwest is the "mansion" area.
To the southeast is the "sanctuary" area.
To the northwest is the "plains" area.
To the northeast is the "hole" area.
In the centre of the world is the "volcano" area.

Beyond these areas is nothing. It's sealed with an impenetrable barrier.

Also, dying in the game has an unfavourable effect on stats and causes an EXP cut for a while. It is not permanent but gives considerable bragging rights.
