Match 8: Anatius vs Darendel

Fire in his eyes but ice in his hands, Darendel waited impatiently in the ring. "Come on, then! Bring it on!"

I drew my crossbow and fired at his head

A shard of ice flew up from Darendel's hand and intercepted the bolt. He hadn't even flinched.

I pulled out my uzi blade wishing to test his skills, I fired a voly at him seeing how he would react

He erected a wall of ice, similar to the shard previous. The bullets impacted and the ice slowly cracked...but it withstood all the shots before it shattered.

I held my sword with both hands bringing it back towards my right shoulder, it was pointed at Darendel and I was ready

His eyes flashed... the ice in his hands melted and became a searing flame. It leapt from his fingers in long tendrils towards Anatius.

I rolled to the side letting the streams of flame crash into the wall that was behind me, I ran towars him.

Waving his hands to the sides, the ground begins to heat up...slowly but surely it begins to burn like steel banisters on a hot day. As this is happening, he continues to fire the tendrils, one at a time now though.

I held my sword infront of me hoping that the tendrills would snap to it, and as for the floor, I'ld have to bear the pain as I was still running for him

The tendril does indeed snap to the sword, and uneexpectedly just imbues the blade with heat. Realising his mistake, Darendel desperately switched back to ice to attempt to cool the blade, blowing a cold breeze towards Anatius.

"cold brezze?" this is hardly deadly, but surprisingly refreshing. I has finally reached him and impatiently swung by sword for his neck

By this time the breeze had taken the effect necessary. The sword had cooled down enough to be deflected by a previously-unused wooden staff without it combusting. After deflecting the blow, he thrust a supercooled hand towards Anatius' stomach.

I jumped to the side his hand doing nothing to me, I grabed his staff and kicked at his chest (("THIS IS AN-AT-I-US!"))

The kick hit him square in the chest and he flew back, barely clawing on to his staff again. Unfortunately the confusing momentum caused him to faceplant.

I put my sword to his back "it's over"

He relaxes, defeated.
