Backstage in the Second Round

i soon realise that it is a mouse as i sqiush

I walk out of the arena victoriouse "I really don't know how he made it through the first round"

"Anatius, congrats. Good to see you succeeded."

I show smiley a sign of respect "thanksyou, but to be honest it was hardly a fight"

"Indeed...but things are due to heat up next round, we'll start going up against each other."

I nod before headong to the rafters

I take a seat down below, and drift off to sleep.

the sun rose to annother day, there's nothing like a good tourniment, I thought to myself, I went down to starbucks and got coffee before heading to combatents box to see what was going on.

I awoke and did much the same thing. It seems Bane, Suburb and UltraZ were all yet to finish their matches.

Nonetheless I wouldn't wait around anxiously...mostly because I wasn't anxious. I began heading back to the Starbucks to grab a coffee...when something caught my eye.

I sprint over to the diminished pile, now filled with other books, and fish out the final copy. Handing over some cash, I head out back to the training area and put my feet up near the back, beginning to read.

the day of fighting ended as boaringly as it had gon on, I ran over to smiley "good book?"

"Absolutely." I put it in my pack.

"So how are you?"

"ok I supose" "I just want to get some practice in, do you know if there are these sort of books for every class? they seem pretty useful"

"For you...there's probably something. Just ask at the counter, they'll help you out."

I walk up to the counter asking for books on 'advanced ranged and melee combos' and 'advanced ranged attack tacrtics'. the womem at the counted ran a check and pulled out 3 books:
*melee and range, working together
*how to make awsome combos III
and *sniping for the experts
I take all 3 abd post 'sniping for the expers' to the assassin, my crossbow id mre of a fall back wepon anyway.
I sit oposite smiley "I found some"

"That book on combos is useless for you, I don't know why they recommended it. It's for hand-to-hand. Pass it along to the Z, he might appreciate it. The melee/ranged thing looks useful though. Enjoy."

I whip out my book and continue reading.

The book was intersting and included tactics I had never even considered, it listed good points bad points sircumstance in which to use them, thing I didn't even think possible.

I finished up a particularly interesting chapter, under the "Action when Compromised" section:
"Two-Directional Fighting: Defending the Rear Whilst Eliminating Ahead".
It basically detailed how to cover your back, but it gave me a very useful insight into things like split perspective and echolocation.
Anyway, onto the next: "Safety from Range: Returning to Cover After Being Spotted"

the diogrammes weren't really as clear as they could have been but at least they weren't as bad as the grenade ones (I remember for the first few months thinging that you used them as shields againest arrowa, they realy could have been more specific) I looked at a clock, it was gotting lat, I clibed to the rafters and set up a hamock for the night.

I tucked the book back into my pack and again drifted off to sleep.

Annother day went by and still no action, the tourniment was begining to drag on abit

I nodded in agreement to this sentiment. Hopefully it wouldn't be much longer.

I go to one of the shops and buy a hamock for smiley, I also pm the others recomending them, I hand the hamock to smiley "it's getting late"

"Finally, somewhere decent to sleep. Thanks." I set it up and sit on it, legs crossed.

I set mine up besides his in the rafters "so what do you think of the other comabetants? think we have a chance?"

"Honestly, other than we six, the only threat I can see is ColdShield...but what a threat he looks to be. I'm rather worried actually...but I'll have to give it my best shot, I guess."
